When you combine a Jazz drummer, Soul singer, Blues bass player, and guitar wizard you get The Spurs. Described by fans as a New Orleans Funk super group, the Sharpened Spurs blend of styles defy expectation. formed in 2020 as a New-Orleans original music act, they are defiantly an act to look out for in the the future. Inspired by the psychedelic poetry of Robert Allen, The Sharpened Spurs lyrics are are insight full and their music sounds like a bizarre smash up of Pink Floyd and the Grateful Dead.   This is one show you have to go out and see if you haven't already...

Ian Petillo

Drummer/Band Leader

At the helm, band leader Ian Petillo effortlessly sings and plays the drums. Drumming since the age of 5, Ian was formally trained at by Big-Band drumming master Howie Mann (Elliot Lawrence, Nat Cole, Tommy Dorsey).  A Jazz drummer from NY; Ian is a flawless technician and creative force.  His polished style shows great depth of his training and background.


After cutting his teeth on the New York jazz scene,  looking for an adventure,  Ian stuffed his bass drums with a suitcase of clothes and drove down to to New Orleans in 2016.

Tiffany Pollack

Lead Vocals

The real deal. A true southern queen of soul is one of New Orleans top singers. Her range and dynamics are second to none. He has a true sense of the blues and and the expressiveness and subtly of a Jazz vocalist. A recording artist in her own right. Find her release of Bayou Liberty, Nola Blue Records .

A young Robin Ford on the guitar with lightning chops and style beyond his years, Matt Schultz is a real emerging talent to look out for!

Curt Rosy

Bass

Blues wizard Curt Rosy really ties the whole band together with punchy and articulate Bass. His walking lines are swinging and is style is reminiscent of the old school flat-wound masters of the past.
